Arrayan Garnacha La Suerte 750ml

$28.95

WINE EXPERTS

I tasted two vintages from their entry-level Garnacha from Gredos, starting with the 2017 La Suerte de Arrayán from a warm and challenging year. It feels more developed and delicate, with 15.5% alcohol and mellow acidity, more in the style of a Châteauneuf-du-Pape. It was produced with grapes from the village El Real de San Vicente, fermented with 30% full clusters and matured in oak vat and barrels for one year.

WINEMAKER’S TASTING NOTES

"La Suerte" has a deep garnet red color, and fruity cherry aromas, which are characteristic of the Garnacha variety and much more evident in the nose than on the palate, alongside floral and mineral touches. In the mouth it is structurally elegant with a clean tannic presence.

TASTE WINE

Look, Smell, Taste and Conclude

VISUAL

You can tell the age of the wine by the color in the glass, also if you look at the legs of the wine you can determine quality aspects

SMELL

When you first start smelling wine, think big to small. Are there fruits? Think of broad categories first, i.e. citrus, orchard, or tropical fruits in whites or, when tasting reds, red fruits, blue fruits, or black fruits. Getting too specific or looking for one particular note can lead to frustration

The Grape

The grape variety is very important to understand a wine.
Grape varieties are considered the most important factor in differentiating a wine

IN YOUR TONGUE

You will be able to perceive that the flavor runs throughout the mouth. You will notice how it runs along the sides, which indicates that it is a quality wine due to its structure.
